Solar Eclipse Flare

Description
I was disheartened seeing the cloudy Toronto forecast for the solar eclipse yesterday. Being a photography enthusiast, I decided regardless to make a go of it as I felt I would regret not attempting to capture this once in a lifetime celestial event. I drove an hour to Oakville, the closest location to me offering 100% totality and camped out on the Lakeshore. Sitting in the cold and clouds I had doubts if I would even see the eclipse but then for a brief moment just before totality, the cloud cover was thin enough to capture the photo below. In fact, the light cloud cover probably allowed me to capture the sun’s solar flares. It reinforced my belief that often the effort is the difference between success and failure and that sometimes accidents are actually breakthroughs.
